Graphite heat exchanger is heat transfer components made of graphite heat exchanger. The manufacture of heat exchanger graphite should have impermeable, commonly used immersion type of impermeable graphite and forming-type impermeable graphite in chemical industry.
Graphite heat exchanger according to the structure can be divided into block hole type, shell and tube type and plate type3 types. Block hole type: consists of a plurality of apertured lump graphite component assembly. Shell and tube type: shell and tube heat exchanger in the graphite heat exchanger occupies an important position, according to the structure is divided into two type fixed and floating head. Plate: plate heat exchanger with graphite plate bonding. In addition, there are immersion, spray and sleeve type (see tube type heat exchanger, heat exchanger casing ). Graphite heat exchanger has superior performance of corrosion resistant, the heat transfer surface is not easy to scaling, good heat transfer properties. Because of graphite brittle, low flexural and tensile strength, therefore it can only be used for low voltage, even if the bearing capacity of the best block hole structure, its working pressure is only 0.3~ 0.5mpa.Its not ubiquitous due to high cost and bulk mass. It is mainly used for hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, acetic acid and phosphoric acid and other corrosive medium heat exchanger, such as acetic acid and acetic anhydride condenser.

This exchanger is composed of impermeable graphite block,capped end,seal filler piece,side plates of tank,lampstand,gland and other parts through assembly.The exchanger have properties of high structural strength,thermal shock resistance and simple to assemble and disassemble.Corrosive medium pass through machine direction and noncorrosive medium pass through transverse direction.It can act as heater,reboiler,cooler and condenser. The exchanger consists of impermeable graphite block,upper and lower cover,round fluororubber circle and metal case which has more superior behavior and more advanced at present.It has high structural strength and sealing more easily. In order to seal strong enough under sealing situation adopt O-ring fluororubber as sealing medium, install pressure spring for self-compensating against expanding with heat and contracting with cold.
